Resource Reservations ignores double booking instead of notifying users

When we reserve two rooms and one is available but the other isn’t, the available room gets booked but the unavailable one doesn’t. The user is never notified that one room is not available. I realize the user can look at the scheduler on the meeting document, but that is not how they do it and I can’t tell them how to do their work. They think, and I agree, that it should notify them that the room is not available. All reservations are entered from the Notes 6.5.4 calendar. The Domino server is also 6.5.4.

Someone has suggested I delete busytime.nsf, which I will do tonight. Does anyone have any other suggestions that do not require restarting the server?

In R6, the new reservation are process by the router.

Thanks, I did that and while I was waiting for it to run I combed through my mail log. Here’s an entry that I find extremely odd:

How am I supposed to set a mail file/server for a room?

i would say yes. Looks like the router is looking for a mail file. Do you have any dead message in your mail.box?

Nope, no dead messages other than the normal stuff. I’m going to try restarting the server tonight and see if that miraculously cures it. So much for my 213 days of uptime. :wink:
