Resource & Reservation not reserving repeating requests

We recently upgraded the Resource & Reservation database to the 6.5.5 template and are currently having some anomolies with this database. It is running on a 6.5.5 server.

  1. When a user reserves a room and the request is for one day, the reservation is made.

  2. If a user reserves a room and it is a repeating reservation, if the user is one who can auto-process the request, the reservation is made.

  3. If a user reserves a room and it is a repeating reservation, if the user is NOT one who can auto-process the request, when the owner clicks to approve the request, it appears to the owner that the room has been reserved (no error messages) but the room does not show reserved in the calendar and the requestor does not get any reply from the owner.

This confused me for a while as well. Scenario 3 -you are correct, it will only create a reservation for the first occurance of the repeat meeting.

If a repeat meeting is booked by Joe Bloggs, and Sue Jones is the “Authoriser”, Sue receives the email and can clcik accepted, Joe will then get the email confirmation, But…Sue must go into the Reservations DB and create a repeat meeting in there. This will then create the repeat meeting in the reservations DB.

I dealt with this issue about 6 months ago…I will try and dig out the url that confirms what I have said.

Thank you for your response. If you are able to find the URL, please post it. What you are describing is not how I remember the behavior of the R&R database in the past. I have spent the last 5 years training the users here to use their own personal calendars instead of reserving rooms directly in the R&R database.
