I attempted to reset the dead.mail statistics to 0 and received a message from the console “statistic cannot be reset”.
The server is running McaFee for Domino. I have also stoped the router and smtp services as well as McAfee; ran fixup, updall and compact on the mailbox. Yet, it still didn’t help.
Can anyone help me on this and tell me how I can clear the dead.mail statistic?

With further investigation, I found where the documents were. In the hidden view (VIM 100), I could see them being listed. Yet, I could not open them. I did delete them and the dead mail statistic went to 0.
Can someone explain why this could have happened and why none of my efforts of fixup, updall, compact and/or replication settings modification worked?

you could try deleting the dead mail from mail.box

There is no dead mail showing. I have even manipulated the replication settings. I have deleted the mail box and yet the dead mail starts building up again.
As I said, we are running McAfee for Lotus Domino and have Percussion’s Notrix also running on the server…
