SPR# ESTN5WCS6Q - Fixed an SMTP addressing translation problem which occurred when lookups were disabled in the global domain document, and the common name was selected as the local part, for addresses of the form usera@dom.com@NotesDom. This regression was introduced in 6.5.1.
Supporting Information:
Related Issue - Mail Addressing
SPR# JFOR5SCL3P - Removed trailing domain names found after the Internet domain.
The issue is related to using the common name with lookups disabled (both in the Global Domain document and in the Configuration document).
If you have not yet upgraded, you can work around the issue by adding the following parameter in the Notes.ini:
GD_STRIP_DOMAINS_AFTER_INTERNETDOMAIN=1
Other potential workarounds
On the Outbound SMTP Server:
Enable lookups for address translation in the Global Domain document (found in the Global Domain document → Conversions tab → “Internet address lookup” field).
Change the address formation rules to use “Full name” instead of “Common name” in the Global Domain document (found in the Global Domain document → Conversions tab → “Local part formed from” field).
