Reply is cluttered with crap

Not sure if this is the 8 client or the 8 mail template, but when we reply to a customer’s reply to our mail, the pretty blue tables for From, To, Date and Subject turn into a screen full of ASCII characters as shown below. Actually lost business from one customer who thought our email was too hard to read. Any thoughts?

Subject: location setting, rich text vs MIME

I found a setting for location documents…it’s default is for notes rich text. When it is set that way, I can reproduce. It appears that is default on notes client install. Change to MIME, and the problem is solved.
