Reply/Forward icons on web

Do they work or not? For either Webmail or DWA (iNotes)?

I’m not hopeful that they’ll work with vanilla Webmail, seeing as that’s now Lotus’ unwanted, ugly stepchild. But I was surprised that they don’t appear in DWA either. At least, not for me!

My server is 6.5, so do I need to update to 6.5.1? I’m using the template “Domino Web Acces (6)”.

Cheers,

  • Mike

They show up for me in DWA 6.5.1.

Bruce,

They show up for me okay, as long as I did the replying or forwarding in the main Notes client. But not if I did that in iNotes itself. How about yourself?

Same behavior here. Have to admit I hadn’t noticed yet, but I only upgraded my own client past 6.0.3 last week…

This will, apparently, be addressed in 6.0.4 and I guess, 6.5.2. Please see:

It only mentions DWA though. I doubt they’ll have done anything about vanilla Webmail, but we’ll see.

The problem likely has EVERYTHING to do with the requirement to “inherit entire document into rich text field” in both reply and forward. In the Notes client, that’s a basic task (well, relatively speaking, of course). On the web, it means offering a client-side editor that can maintain the existing rich text undamaged. That’s not entirely trivial – as anyone (probably including yourself) who has ever done anything cross-client with rich text will gladly testify to under oath. Throw in weirdo leopard-print browsers on aqueous feline (wet cat?) operating systems, and you never know what you’ll get…

Sorry Stan, but you’ve lost me. How does Rich Text inheritance affect the view/folder icons?
