Help! I have a user who, when he is home, is suddenly losing the original message when replying. We’ve been 6.5.1 since March 2004 and this has cropped up for him out of the blue.

It is sometimes hard to pin these down based on a user’s description of the situation. What template does his mail file use? Does he have a local replica and the docs are disappearing from it? I suspect he has a very tight replication formula. Certain templates update a doc when it has been replied to. Depending on what field gets ticked, it is probably changing it enough so that it no longer matches his rep selection formula. Other things I would check soon include the sorting of the view/folder he is working from as well as dumb user steps that he is not saying to you. The doc may still be there but he is not seeing it.

I had the same problem a few days ago.
The solution was on the client side. Compacting CACHE.NDK, DESKTOP6, and BOOKMARK with a “-C” solved the problem.
