Replication with local database

Hello,

Is there any way of replicating my mail file on the server with my local replica in a different way than scheduling it on fixed periods of time? I mean, I would like to replicate when, for example, a new mail arrives to the mail file. So, the replica would work only when the server database has changes.

Do you know if there is any way of forcing the client to initiate the replica when the server database has new documents?
