Hi to whom it may concern,
I would like to ask for help.
We have a client that would want to replicate a certain db from our server to their server after they have created a document and vice versa. Actually its a Help Desk application wherein our client would create a request form and our Server should replicate their db to access the db. We provide the solution to their problem then their Server should replicate our db for them to view the solution. I dont have a strong knowledge on notes servers. any help will be much appreciated!

Subject: Replication: Two Servers
are both servers in the same Domino Domain? If so the easiest way is to cluster the servers so that event driven replication can occur. If they are in different Domino Domains then clustering is not possible. You may be able to create an agent to check for new or modified docs and have a replication kick off but I have never done it.

Right, if the servers are in the same Domino Domain, then you could set up clustering, which would let the databases replicate as soon as a change is made. Alternatively, you could set up connection documents on each server to tell both servers where the other one is, and then schedule replication that way. Keep in mind that no matter which option you choose that both servers have to be specified on the opposite server’s server document as being allowed to access the server, and each server has to have read/write access to the database.
