I have develop an application and wants to put it to all of the servers so that users can access it .I want to setup a replication procedure so that if a document is created or updated on one server it should replictae to all other servers immediately .Lets suppose i have User1 On Server A and User2 On Server B ,User1 has created a form On Server A and a mail is send to User 2 with the link of the document for approval who will access Server B ,so the form from Server A should be replicated To Server B before User2 received the mail for approval.
I was trying doing it using agent which triggered after decoument is created or modified but unfortunatly this agent
is not running immediately after document is modified but it runs after some times.
I will appretiate if somebody suggest me the best replication procedure.
I did this via anagent and a view. I had a field used as a flag for notification. Which would then replicate to the other server, populate a view and the agent pulled the doc from the view. Then it shot out a notification.
This does not replicate the doc immediately, however it does avoid the notification before replication occurs. You can replicate the doc after you save it.
A different solution would be to have a central application server. Thus users accessing their mail would be referred to the same physical db (on the central server) irrespective of their mail server.
The only other way that I could suggest would be clustering. However, you have already said you are not set up for this.
Thank you for your reply, actually i was trying doing iton submit button but in this case users will see that replication is taking place and they have to wait till the replication is completed.
