From my Hub server, I initiated a Create Replica request using the Admin Client to 40 servers around the world. This morning I came in to find that it completed ok - but one server “changed” my ACL by adding itself to the ACL as manager and then readding all my entries.
The problem is that after I had made the request thru AdminP, our designer changed the ACL on the Hub. It appears that when the replica was initialized, the older ACL was replaced back to the Hub.
Can anyone help explain this? We’ve now lost all the changes we made and have to recreate the ACL. We use roles extensively and this was one database where the groups and roles were modified by the Designer.
I can’t explain why these changes are coming back to the hub. LocalDomainServer has manager rights but this is a brand new replica being created. Doesn’t make sense to me.
