"Replication or Save Conflict" when checking mail file

Hi, we have our users notes.ini, desktop6.ndk, names.nsf and user.id files stored on their home drive on our network. For a couple of users when they log onto another computer and try to check their mail, the inbox is filled with entries “replication or save conflict”. They have not got Notes open on another computer, and I have checked in Domino Administrator to see if it still thinks they’re logged on. For one of the users I logged them onto the web based client, and it worked fine, and after a while she tried the Notes client again, and the error message was no longer there. Is there a simple explanation of why this would occur, and how to fix it?

I have seen this symptom in clusters in which the mail file template was different on different cluster mate replicas. The problem occured when there is a specific type of mismatch between the design notes in cache.ndk and the mail file that is currently open. When this occurs, try exiting from Notes, delete cache.ndk from the user’s data directory and then running Notes again.
