client 8.5 rev 20081211.1925 / server 8.5 HF1 and 6.5.6 FP3
one of our custom templates sits on our current (6.5.6) admin server, it has it’s replication settings set to not allow any changes from any server - this was set when my client was 6.5.6 (or earlier, not sure, but its been working for ages)
we now have an 8.5 server (to be our new admin server) and we’ve replicated the template onto that and were trying to update the replication settings for the template to accommodate the new admin server but it appears that the 8.5 client is making the deletions option global instead of per server so that when we add a current server>new server entry and tick the deletions checkbox it’s also enabling it on the current server>all servers entry - which we obviously dont want
i also tested this by creating a new local database and set the me>all servers entry to have all options disabled, i then added entries for server1 and server2, disabled all options for server1 and enabled all options for server2, when i went back to the me>all servers entry the deletions option was enabled, as wella s for the server1 entry
