Replication issue: Unable to open Note ID

Hi,

We have two servers serverA and serverB set up in two different locations.

We also have replica copies of a particular database on these two servers.

Server A has manager access and Server B has Designer access.

Now the replica copy on ServerA has 100 documents out of which only 50 have to be replicated to the replica copy on ServerB.

We are controlling this replication using the “Readers” field.

Now when I check the replication log, I get the following error

Unable to open note on ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReporting.nsf (NoteID = 72154) to store in DNDLRTMB01/RTM/NDL/Provimi/EBS ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReportingTest.nsf (NoteID = 0): You are not authorized to perform that operation

Unable to open note on ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReporting.nsf (NoteID = 72150) to store in DNDLRTMB01/RTM/NDL/Provimi/EBS ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReportingTest.nsf (NoteID = 0): You are not authorized to perform that operation

Unable to open note on ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReporting.nsf (NoteID = 72138) to store in DNDLRTMB01/RTM/NDL/Provimi/EBS ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReportingTest.nsf (NoteID = 0): You are not authorized to perform that operation

Unable to open note on ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReporting.nsf (NoteID = 72146) to store in DNDLRTMB01/RTM/NDL/Provimi/EBS ProvimiGroup\CapexExpenditureReportingTest.nsf (NoteID = 0): You are not authorized to perform that operation

DNDLRTMB01 is the destination server i.e. serverB. ServerA is initiating the replication.

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Prasad

Subject: Replication issue: Unable to open Note ID

are your servers listed in the Readers fields on all of the documents? If there were docs that existsed before the Readers field was created then it’s possible the servers are not all saved in the Readers fields. Even if you use a wildcard entry to give the servers access you’d still need to resave the docs. Track down one of the docs with a NoteID from above and make sure the destination server has access to it i nthe Readers field.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

Initially the destination server was listed in the Readers field of all the 100 documents. Then we decided that we want only 50 documents on the destination server. Then we removed the destination server name on the 50 documents. We Saved the document and ran the command “@command([ToolRefreshDoc])” on all the documents.

This worked fine. Now I have only 50 documents on the destination server. But still the error message id displayed in the Replication Log which is weird.

So currently, the initiating server i.e. ServerA’s name is present in the readers field of all the 100 documents. This done from the beginning.

ServerB’s name was initially present in all the 100 documents. But recently we removed it from 50 documents.

So 50 documents have ServerB’s name in the Readers field.

Please advise.
