Replication error: "Invalid or Nonexistent document"

Hello all.

I’ve read through many posts about this problem, however I’m unable to find a solution that will allow me to view these non-existent documents. We are currently using Notes 6.5.

My company currently has a database that stores daily notes and time entries for current projects we work on. Some of our users work directly off the server and others replicate their local version to the server at the end of the day.

Over last few weeks, we’ve been having this issue with invalid or nonexistent documents when our local users try to replicate to the server. They are still able to work from the server but cannot replicate their local work back to the server.

Our IT personnel have run the compact commands which seem to fix the issue. However after a few days, we see this problem again.

I have three questions:

  1. What causes this to happen?

  2. Does anyone have code for an agent that will find the invalid/nonexistent document(s) so that we can review it(them)?

  3. Anyone have a solution that will fix this problem for good?

Subject: replication error: “Invalid or Nonexistent document”

Have you tried forcing the replication using File->Replication->Replicate using Options? When I’ve seen that error it’s been because there is no replication history. Forcing it once usually fixes it, until someone deletes the history again.
