The replication does not work at all, I reported the same problem already for public beta 1 on Mac OS X. When I open a database directly on the server I see there new documents which do not get replicated to my local database replica.
Subject: Thanks for reporting the issue! This is a known issue.
This is a known issue. Bug ID: JLLU7FK85J
Possible workaround for you: could you please recreate the replica again?
Subject: Re: Replication does not work
I’ve removed the Lotus Notes 8.5 public beta 2 client completely (including directory `Lotus Notes Data’, com.ibm.lotus.Notes.plist), installed it anew, opened a database on a server, and created a new local replica of that. An empty local database replica was created. Not a single document was copied into the local database from the server, so replication does also not work for replicas set up with public beta 2.
When it is a known issue (and a not working replication is some really, hmmm, striking issue), is there no other workaround? Has it to do with some locale settings, like timezone, language or the like as I assumed in my bug report reg. the same issue for public beta 1? Does using some US-specific locale help?

Thank you for providing more information!
I think the problem you encountered is not the same as JLLU7FK85J.
Bug JLLU7FK85J is that if we use Lotus Notes Data of previous 85 build, then the local replica created in the previous build can not be replicated again, but make a new replica can fix the issue.
The problem you reported is new to us. Could you please provide more information?

What is your locale and timezone?
-
What is the local replica path?
Thank you very much!

My Mac is set to german settings, i.e. german locale and timezone (GMT+1). I don’t know if it matters, but the server from which I tried to replicate the database files (my emails, see 2.) is in another timezone in the UK.

My Lotus Notes data path is the standard one, /Users/heiko/Library/Application Support/Lotus Notes Data/ I tried to replicate my email database, so for that specific database this path with an appended `mail’ suffix was used.
Subject: Replication of Xpages seems sloppy too.
Is it possible that replication of xpages does not work under certain conditions? I travel a lot and therefore don’t get to work on the server version of my db so I work locally. When I have a good connection I can replicate to the server. Last week I was working on the server, but today on my local copy many of the modifications I made have reverted. All the documents have replicated properly, as well as the standard notes/domino design elements, however, the xpage stuff (xpages, custom controls) are older versions.
Unfortunately you can’t tell which version of xpage or custom control is correct because the automatic build modifies the timestamp as soon as you open the db in DDE.
