Hi,
As far as I’m aware, if the servers are not cross-certifed then they will not talk to one another.
You also need to configure server-level access, database-level access and then set up connections docs between servers.

If the servers share a common certificate ancestor, then you do not need to worry about cross certification. If they do not, then cross-certificates must be issued unless the servers accept anonymous Notes connections (not recommended).
