My user is having this problem. I implement quota to my users. the max is 120mb. One of the user complaint that his local mail in his computer is only 70mb but he’s still receiving the over quota error.
I checked on the server n find out that the user dbase in the server sized 130+mb. After performing deletion in his local and compacting the dbase. The size in his local reduced to 40mb but the server remain the same.
I checked his dbase on the cluster server, n to my amazement his dbase size was different which was about 70mb.
What is wrong now? I’m stuck. Pls help. Thanks

the views have indexes on the server that might not existi on the client because the user has not accessed them. the indexes add quite a bit to the db size.

after getting the ove rquota message on the server y r u performing the deletion task on the local machine.
Perform the deletion or archiving task on the registration server, then run the command “load compact mail/databasename.nsf” on the server on which u hav performed deletion or archiving task. then ckeck the replication setting on the local machine.
Also check from where the local database is getting replicated.
check on how many machines u hav created the person`s database replica.

I deleted a lot of my emails (in Inbox and Sent folder) performed the compacting several times, my local reduced in the size but server size remained the same. Does To Do and Calendar entries consume the size as well
Yesterday my friend called me and said that he had similar problem with his user and what he did was refresh the ACL at the users place.
