Hi All ,

I have take the replica copy of my mail file to my home so that i can acess it my home also. Please note that i have local isolated notes client installed at my machine , when try to acess the database your not authorized to acess the database . Any suggestion so that i can acess this database … please also note that i have admin client installed om local machine …

It is mostly likely that the DB has enforce consistant ACL on the DB. ie Access Control > advance setting.

“local isolated notes client installed” does this mean you are using the same ID as you do in the office??? This can cause issues if you are not.

Now there is a way around this if you are using a completely seperate Domino Domains but requires work. Craete a Domino server with the same name and cert name as the one you got the DB from. Place the DB on there and make sure you access it from the correct ID or full access admin.

But this also could mean the DB is encrypted. If this is the case then the above will not work if the key to encrypt is not accessable from your home machine. The answer would be to create another replica making sure you dont locally encrypt.

Thanks for the response , Well i am not using the same id as i do in office. Actually i insatlled domino server , admin , client on home machine so that i can practice … it mean i have to insatlle the server same my office server then only i can acess the database which take from my office … is that what you mean to say ??

Why would you expect a different ID to have the same access to a database?

OK here is what you will need to do…

Take a replica of the Database… do not locally encrypt. before leaving the office make sure enforce consistant ACL is not ticks…

The either use full access admin to gain access to the DB or before leaving the office set Default access to Manager.

This will get you access to the data. What and Why etc for you needing this infomration at home is down to you and your company.
