Hi guys
A clever man once told me that a way to avoid Replication conflicts was to replicate fields and not documents. Off course that would not completely avoid the problem but at least minimize it…
But I have absolutely no clue as how to set it up on my database. Can anyone help me ??

It’s a Form based property …

Oh! Great! Thanks alot
So by setting it to “Merge conflicts” it will try to merge the documents and only create a conflict if the same field has been changed… That’s perfect.
Thanks againg for the quick response

Peter,
Note that in a ‘real’ application with sophisticated formulas firing off whenever a user saves a document, it is likely that there are myriad hidden fields which get updated every time, thus making rep/save conflicts much more likely.

Arh I get your point, and there is currently some querySave events running everytime, though it will decrease the odds of replication-conflicts when I run backend operations, correct?.
Subject: RE: Replcation using only fields
Agreed, as long as your backend code doesn’t try to update those same fields.
