I need immediate help. We do have 260 databases on our domino server. We wanted change some string values over all the design elements and documents as well. Can anybody please help me on this. Primarily we are looking for free tool. But I need suggestions on team studio Configurator also.
Also I am thinking about write script to go thru all over the dbs thru domino directories.

Team Studio’s Configurator is an excellent tool and has saved me from having to write agents in the past. Its well worth the investment. I don’t use it any more (a tool provided from a previous company I worked for). Its only limitations at the time (version 20 I think) was that it couldn’t rename fields and maintain the values, nor could it run against more that one database at a time (as far as I know).
You can write an agent (or more) to look at every database and then pull any design element out or copy one in… I recently wrote a utility to put a form and agent into all databases on the server if it didn’t exists already. Take a look at NotesNoteCollection for more information on manipulating design elements programitically.
