Hi,
When editing a document in web browsers, richtext fields are edited with the standard richtext applet… we want to create tables, pictures etc. but that can not be done with the standard applet.
Does anyone know of an applet that does can do that?
And how to replace the standard applet with another one?

It depends on what you really need. If the rich text fields will only be used on the web, you can use one of the rich text editors such as htmlarea or TinyMCE with the integrations that Jake Howlett provides on his codestore.net. Those are very good, but leave the content in HTML and uneditable in the Notes client. If you want to edit in both, you could take a look at our CoexEdit product and some of the integrations we have done with those editors plus other popular ones such as FCKEditor (bad name - good free editor).

I decided it wasn’t really fair to others who might read this to not respond with more detail about the “Best fit for OS” option, since IBM has put a lot of work into it and since it is, in some ways, a step in the same direction toward web editors. Bear in mind that I am, of course, slightly biased, but that is why I try to show clear and repeatable scenarios that anybody can try to show what is right and wrong about this approach.
