Replace domain in email address?

Is the following scenario possible? Does Domino support this or does it have to be done with custom development?- Have multiple mail servers (Domino and non-domino), serving different domains (i.e. domain1.com, domain2.com, domain3.com)

tnx,

Yes. This can be done. I can’t remember exactly but, you should set up each user as having the address

person.name@globaldomain.com

Then you need to have domino configured to accept mail for

domain1, domain2, domain3 and globaldomain.

Any mail that is sent to person.name@domain1 will be delivered to person.name. The same applies for domain2 and domain3.

Seems a bit of a strange one though. Why do you need this set up like that?

I know it can be done this way. The problem with this solution is that we will have to update the person documents with the @globaldomain.com addresses. We don’t want to do that, at least not for now. The relay server will accept email from all domains (domain1.com, domain2.com, globaldomain.com etc), so incoming email will be delivered to the users. What we want to do is to have all outgoing internet email to appear as originating from globaldomain.com. The other domains will be phased out eventually.
