Hi,
A co-worker showed me a curious bug when she tries to check the schedule for a meeting she is chairing. The meeting happens to contain a large number of invitees (17 in fact) so that a large portion of the invitees are “off screen” (behind the “Everyone” entry at the far-right side). When she scrolls to the right to see the other names on the list, rather than seeing names, she sees multiple “Everyone” entries appearing. Then, when she scrolls back to the left, the names that were previously visible are turned into “Everyone” entries as well.
Evidently, this must be something to do with rendering (either how Notes renders or how her video driver renders the Free Time control), because the initial list of names is correct - it’s just those that start (or are scrolled) offscreen that are rendered as “Everyone”.
This is annoying because she does not know necessarily who cannot attend by simply scrolling over. As a workaround, I have suggested that she change the selection of what to display in the list of names to “By Cannot Attend” instead of the default “All By Invitee” in order to reduce the list to a manageable size that is less likely to contains offscreen names.
Has anyone ever witnessed sometihng like this?
Thanks,
Cesar

This is definitely a problem. I can confirm.
In my testing I have narrowed this down to R7 client using a non R7 mail template.
The bug is not present in the R7 mail template out of the box. I’ve tested this with R5 and R4 templates. Not sure about R6.
It seems that any item off the screen renders incorrectly when you scroll back and forth. It picks up the right most entry in the list, which is “everyone”, the data returned does seem to be for the intended user.
I tested this with an R701 and R702 client, against the out of the box R510 mail template as well a variety of the R4 mail template.

Where are you seeing this? I am checking an existing meeting that I have chaired. I highlight the meeting in the Calendar and click the Owner Actions button then choose View Invitee Status. I do not see anywhere in the dialog box where it shows Everyone. I also tried opening the meeting and clicking “click to see invitee status” and I still do not see what you are explaining. Can you tell me the exact steps to reproduce? What mail template version are you using and what is the server version?

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the response. Here are some more details:
Server version: 5.11
Mail template: iNotes5
Client version: 6.5.4
I was actually able to reproduce the problem (on another system so that almost takes the display driver out of the equation) and I am positive that it is related to rendering.
It seems that if I maximize another application over top of the Free Time dialog, when I return to it, it displays correctly (no multiple “Everyone” entries).
I wish I had Notes Access to this forum (then I could post some screen captures). However, you can check out the screen captures here:
