Hi. One question about the renaming of users.I moved some users to other OUs as described in documentation of Lotus Administrator. Works nearly perfect. Now I’ve got a problem with one user that is not moved. I created one name move reuqest, committed it with new id file and waited what will happen. The client is configured in a way that the reuqest is automaticly committed. But nothing happens. I looked in the server log but nothing appears. The user had problems with his ID file so I created a new public key and signed it. After this I tried the whole thing again. Same result. I’m a little clueless now what is going wrong. Where could I find informations about it? In the admin4 nsf the change request is shown up. It seems to me that the client is not accepting and committing the name move request.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Subject: Some things to try
Have the user move their ID to another computer and try it (or try it on your computer with their id) - if this works, then the Dynamic Client Configuration task is probably not working correctly on the user’s client. Several things can cause this. The first thing I’d check is the server name in the user’s location document - it must be fully qualified: Server name/OU/O. Other ideas/info here:

Subject: I checked the logs
The log reports problems with certificates of this user. I recertified the user but nothing changed. I’m not really sure what this caused. I’ll monitor the whole thing and will report again.

Subject: Replace the certificate?
You can copy the certificate from the user’s ID file and copy it into the person doc, then try the rename again. That certificate error will need to be cleaned up before the rename will progress.
Subject: Yes this did the trick
Hi. I replaced the certificate and started the whole thing again. The ranem began and stopped at the second step waiting for the approval of the client. Nothing happened.I asked the user to login at my client and whoooops… The renaming begun. I think the installation of her client was corrupt. I’ll reinstall the next days. Thanks for you help

Subject: Good idea
Hi. Thanks for your awnser.Yes I tried it the way you described (Let the user login at my client). But this had no effect. The strange thing is that the moving worked one time at the client of the coworker (in former times). I’ll check her local log for errors. Any other ideas?
Thanks
