I’ve tried the various tips I’ve found here and elsewhere. I installed Lotus Domino on our new box, and used the same server ID and configuration files as the old one. When I did this before, I was able to rename the new server, and run both at the same time, until I was ready to switch over to the new one. Any suggestions for making the transition as smooth as possible? If I clear the .nsf files and use a minimal notes.ini file, the service fails to load. I changed the name in the notes.ini file and the id file, but launching the service changed it back.
