Hello,
I have one document database in domino server that needs to be renamed because the name on the company has changed. How this can be done in Domino? I didn’t find this in the manual.

If all you need to do is change the TITLE of the database, you can do that directly from the Database Properties dialog if you have sufficient access. First tab, first field. The solutions you were given dealt with changing the FILENAME, which one can’t do directly while the database is being accessed (obviously).

Could you not just take a new replica with the new name and once completed delete the old one and place the new copy in the same directory ?

Maybe that’s one way of doing a rename. I just tought that there was a simple way of doing a simple operation but I guess this is not the case with IBM products?

Depending how big your database is, and how urgent the rename is, you can choose between the “create temporary new replica, delete old database, create new replica in place of old replica, delete temporary replica” or “shutdown domino, rename database from operating system command line prompt, start domino” methods.
