Removing a Domain from Lotus Notes

We recently went from Lotus to Office 365 for our email but still use Lotus for many databases. When these databases send emails they are delivered to the Lotus inbox. How can I have it leave the Lotus enviroment and be received in our office 365 inboxes. The only way we have been able to do it as of now is by using out @onmicrosoft.com email as a forwarder but really would like to stop doing this.

Just wondering why you don’t want to use the forwarding field on the person doc?

The other choice is to change the app to tack on the correct address or point all users mail files to one inbox and have a agent run frequently that would create a doc in the mail.box and replace the to, cc,bcc and recipients with the correct 365 address.
