Remote console on Windows Server 2008 R2

Hoping someone has found a fix/workaround for this one…

I have Domino 8.5.1 FP2 on two Windows Server 2008 R2 machines, and it runs fine, with no issues.

However, I can’t use the Remote Console or configure ports in the admin client; it times out. The other features in the admin client seem to be fine (those that I’ve tested, that is).

Has anyone seen this? I have a ticket open with IBM, but they seem to have washed their hands of this once they learned that this is an R2 machine (R2 isn’t supported yet).

Thanks!

Subject: RESOLUTION

Stumbled across the “fix” awhile back but didn’t post it here.

I had set the temp path for Domino to reside in a sub directory of Program Files (under the Notes executable dir). As soon as I moved it outside of that, it all worked again.
