Reliable method to display column total on form

Hello all

I have an embedded single category view on a form A, listing documents created in form B categorised by the UNID of document A. In a field on form A, I have a formula which totals all the items in one of the columns of the embedded view using an @dblookup and @sum. It works well except just after a new document B has been added or removed relating to the current document. The new document B appears in the embedded view on document A, but is not totaled imediately. This means that the user can save document A with the incorrect total being stored in the field.

Is there a more reliable way of doing this?

Thanks

Have you tried doing a lookup to that embeded view to calculate the total in the onsave event for doc A?

Thanks for that.

After testing a little more, it does actually work when doc A is saved…I believe that it is not computing in the form because the action to remove a docB is on the embedded view so when I f9 to refresh, it is the view that has focus, not document A. Hopefully now, I can come up with a work around…

Thanks
