Release 8.5 Feature

I have read or heard someplace that there is a new feature in release 8.5 that prevents the view indexing on the server.

I need to find this documented and the conditions of the prevention. ie: is it on a database or on a server level?

Subject: At the Database level

There is a setting at the Database level on the properties panel, Advance Tab a checkbox to disable automatic updating of views.
