I could use some pointers to either specific documentation or suggestions for Domino LDAP. I am installing everything on one computer. I’m a little overwhelmed reading through the infocenter right now.
Background and purpose:
I have not done much Domino install and config in the past. I’m more experienced using what has already been installed with Domino LDAP than installing from scratch and I’m going through an exercise where I just want to make sure I can install a Domino Server utilizing the LDAP server only to Lotus Connections.
In the past I have used Domino Admin Client when portalizing applications, adding users, and setting up portal access. (Post LDAP set-up)
Task:
I am installing the Domino Server and the Domino Admin Client with Notes. When I can see all the users in JXexplorer, I’ll consider it a success.
Install of Domino Server 8.0.1:

servers name is ip-0AF80E54/ERI
typical user is Administrator/ERI
Domino Domain Name: compute-1
Administrator name and password
Last Name: Administrator

admin.id id file stored under d:\IBM\Lotus\dominoserver\data\admin.id
Setting up internet mail clients (smtp, pop3, and imap directory services (LDAP)
Not Web Browsers
Enabled port drivers: TCP/IP, NetBIOS over TCP/IP
hostname: ip-0AF8E54-compute-1.internal
Prohibit anonymous access to databases and templates
Add localdomainadmins group to all databases and templates
Post Domino Admin Install:
Logged in with Administrator/ERI
Added a User
Installed Jxplorer and cannot view the LDAP. I do see LDAP is running from the Domino Admin Client.
