Registry or ini file tweaks for Lotus Notes 6 client

Hello there,

Environment:

Windows 2000 Terminal Services SP3.

Metaframe XPe FR3.

Currently using lotus 4.6.7 with Citrix and we are looking at upgrading.

On our test Citrix farm we have installed the Lotus Notes 6.02 Client.

The Notes 6.xx interface is quite graphicaly intensive and i was wondering if there were any official ( or unofficial) tweaks that can be made to the 6.xx interface. Our CE.NET Windows based Terminals when running Notes 6.02 in 16 bit colour are a tad sluggish.

We have all the standard Citrix/TS tweaks but were wondering if there any other one that people were using.

regards

Erm…Thanks for the response Ken but i think you have misunderstood my questions.

I know what Citrix does and i have deployed 30 of them running Lotus Notes 6 (soon to be 100+)and other applications fine.

I was after Tweaks … I have a large number of “tweaks” that i do to SAP Clients/Internet Explorer/MS office/Business Objects etc etc on Citrix to make that make them run better and display things better.

If i find any ill post them here.

Mike,

If your users are accessing Notes via a Citrix session as opposed to running the client on their own computers, then all that is being passed back to their screens is just enough information to redraw the screen, and during times when a user doesn’t move the cursor, no bytes are transferred over the network. Even with a dialup connection they can still get reasonable performance. My guess is that your server is in serious need of an upgrade. The only other alternative I can think of is to rewrite your apps for the browser and cease using the Notes client.
