In our Lotus Domino environment, we have a group where all the users are listed in.
Suppose if i send a mail using this group and if my name is included in the group… will i also be getting the mail which i send to the users using this group??
Please explain!!!

Normally, the sender will not receive the mail if he’s a member of a group if the mail is sent from the sender’s mail database.

Can you tell me thn if that is the case there are certain users who being a part of the group, when they send mail they get mail in their inbox… they have manager access to their mailbox and they have rights to send mail to that group.

One thing to check is if they have a copy of the group in their local address books. If they do, the Notes client will resolve the group name before the mail is sent, and the users will then also receive the mail themselves.
Another thing to check is that the mail files actually belongs to the users. You can check this in the mail settings, for the mail file. The owner of the mail file should be the user, and also check the spelling.

Not sure if this makes a difference but is it possible the group contains a different (older) version of their name? For example their OU has changed?
Therefore, the group has Stephen M Christian/Div1/ORG and I’m now Stephen M Christian/Div2/ORG
I’m not an Admin, so I found your statement, "… they have rights to send mail to that group. " How are you limiting access to the group? If the group is in the address book shouldn’t anyone be able to access it? Could this be part of the issue?

Access to the group can be limited as only certain users should be able to have a lookup of that group for sendin mails.
access can be given by goin to the group’s document properties → security. by default all users can have a lookup of the group.
