Refresh embedded view

Hi guys,

I have a document with an embedded view. I put the document into edit mode then push a button which opens ope a frameset to choose some other documents to add to this embedded view (which it does), then close down the frameset… back on the original document with the embedded view, the view does not update until I refresh(F9) the document… I’ve tried refreshing, reloading the workspace, etc… even though I know this wont refresh my document… how can I make this embedded view update straight away… Please help, I’ve exhausted all (my) ideas… thank you

Mick

Did you check (I mean mark the checkbox) the auto-refresh option of the view?

Hi Rob, if you mean in the Advanced tab in the view properties… then yes, it is set to “Auto, after first use”

Please HELP !!!

I have no straight solution, but I seem to remeber that when I was working with embedded views, the view was updated when a new doument was added in the view as the result of another action. Maybe the reason that this works was the fact that in my case, a new document was created and presented to the user. The user closes the document and control was passed back to the document with the embedded view.

You could try to close the document from the NotesUIWorkspace and edit it again. I have used this technique often to refresh the open document and the user will hardly notice this.
