I’m trying to embed a java applet into a form for use within the Notes client. I’ve added the required parameters and it’s working fine, except it can’t find images which are referenced in one of the parameters

When I preview the form the applet displays the error:
unable to load image ‘notes://SERVERNAME%2fDOMAIN/Live/dbname.nsf/Nightfall2.gif’
and repeats this for the 3 images. The SERVERNAME and DOMAIN above are obvious substituted for my own environment but the %2f is present in the error.
The zip file I downloaded which had the applet in it also contained the “agfx” folder which contained the jar and class file. I have added this whole folder to the applet in Designer but still having no luck
I have never coded in Java before or used an applet so I’m learning as I’m going along. When I created the applet in the database I added the images along with the jar and class file, but when it didn’t work I added them as image resources as well, but this made no difference.
What am I doing wrong?
