Ref: Save Conflicts in Preview Pane

I have a user that when pressing an action button in a form to update several fields and trigger email, manages to create a save conflict. She has a preview pane open.

All otherr users are fine, only thisone user is choosing to use preview pane.

Is this a known bug ?

Have told user to close preview pane when pressing any action buttons but would like to understand why this is a problem -

Is it because the record is effectively open ‘twice’, once in preview pane and once in normal mode ?

This is only an issue if open in EDIT mode in the preview pane, and then runnign the action from the viewIf that is the case, the yup, that’s what’s causing your problem

Thesimplest solution may be to move the button to the form and only have it visible in browse mode

Otherwise write some record locking software that stops the action button working from the view if someone somewhere has the document open for editing
