REF: Archiving Documents with Associated Response Documents

I need to set up a scheduled archiving agent, to archive documents from one Prodcution DB to another (archive DB).

I know I can achieve this with a simple agent or with a lotusscript agent using document collection etc.

However not sure of best method for documents that have associated Responses Documents.

In a document collection will notes move through the documents in the same way whether a main or a response,

and will the parent/child relationship still be as it should in the archive DB.

do I need to add extra code to allow for response documents with either method ?

Appreciate your help, have read the help files etc. but there is no special mention of Archiving Parent/Child Documents.

I tend to code by hand, so I may be misunderstanding your Q, but I would:

  1. Write the LS agent to identify the main (parent) docs I want to archive

  2. As I loop through those docs, check for responses

dim rdc as notesdocumentcollection

set rdc = doc.responses

Now I loop through those in the same fashion. In any case, I am copying the docs, or their items, or whatever method you use to do your archive.
