Hi… I have a question about redirect to an internal server… let me try to explain.
I am hosting multiple websites through domino. I’m using Internet site documents for each site. All websites are running on the same internal domino server. At this point all the sites work fine and can be access from internal and external sources.
I have just installed Lotus Connections on a separate internal server. It is not running Domino.
I have site up a Internet Site document and a redirect to my internal server. I can type the url “www.myconnect.org” internally and it will be redirected to the Lotus Connections server and will open the page I want. This works as expected.
But if I type the url “www.myconnect.org” from an external source, it will not redirect.
The redirect address is the following: http://cpg8.cpgnet.com:9080/communities/service/html/allcommunities
I’m pretty sure that the reason is that cpg8.cpgnet is an internal host name and cannot be resolved by DNS to a external resource.
So I guess that is my question. Is there a way to configure a Internet Site document to redirect to a non-domino (Lotus Connections) server, from outside the network.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks
