Redirect ironic problem

I am using mailjump.nsf for Domino Web access. I now want to be able to put in a specific pattern URL to take them there. It would be:

http://mail.domainname.com

I have tried to create a redirect document like so:

What do you want to setup URL → Redirection URL

IP Address: www.domainname.com

Incoming URL Path: /mail/*

Redirection URL: /mailjump.nsf

Needless to say…it’s not working. I am thinking there is a problem with my logic here anyway, because the string “mail” is in the name “mailjump” so wouldn’t that cause some kind of loop?

What happens how is that entering mail.domainname.com in the browser takes you to the homepage (www.domainname.com)

How can I get this to work? I really need the pattern I mentioned (mail.domainname.com) to work…taking users to the login screen for their iNotes.

Thanks a million to any help anybody could provide.

Matt

First, I think you don’t have a DNS entry for http://mail.domainname.com , so this is not found.

Maybe use http://domainname.com/mail

and then set the filter rule to

URL Path: /mail

Redirection URL: /mailjump.nsf or

Redirection URL: /mail/mailjump.nsf
