Red Hat 9 & Domino 6

Dear Lotus Community,

After a few day’s i’ve finished downloading both Red Hat 9 and demo of Domino 6 for Linux.

Now that I’m trying to install the Domino server and cycle through the Terminal server screens accepting the defaults without any problems.

But at the summary screen, I am told that I must upgrade my OS, with the minimum release of 7.2. How can this be? Release 9 of RH is the latest release.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think Notes 6 is only supported up to 7.2. I am running on 7.3. Have seen some on running on 8. Probably some libraries have changed in 9 that keep it from running properly.

We run 6 (601CF1) on Red Hat 8.0 with nothing but satisfaction.

R5 couldnt verify the OS when running checkos but 6 seems to accept 8.0 (2.4.x kernel).
