After I upgraded to 6.5.3 and installed SSO, PC would crash if change location or use the background replicator. I thought it was SSO, but with a new computer, installed without SSO, and had same problem - completely new install. The only thing that was not new was the desktop file since we brought over all the nsf files in the data directory - except system dbs (like names, bookmarks, headlines, etc.)

Might be a corrupt location document within the local names.nsf. The location itself may be irrelevant (ie: although the error only occurs when switching from Local ā Office, any of the location documents could be causing the problem)
Might be worth running fixup or replacing completely (if user does not have many contacts etc)

Subject: New install forced the creation of new Names, ini, etc
When we did the new install, all was new except the Desktop file. We copied overall the production replicas in the data directory (no system nsf files) and let the new install create the notes.ini, names, bookmarks, headlines, etc. Then we manually added in new connection and location documents.
