Recycling Transaction Log Extends problem

I’m running into the following problem with Transaction logging

I’ve setup transaction logging for a Lotus Notes domino server (Release 7.0.1) to perform transactional logging on a separate disk.

After rebooting and starting the domino server the server starts to create the well known TXN files and the archive bit was set on those files. After that i’ve initiated

a full backup with the settings Veritas NetBackup recommended and that all went as smooth as possible. The requested databases and TXN files where in that backup

and the archive bit that was changed for the TXN files. My problem now is that the transaction log extents are not being reused. This means that i’m almost running out of diskspace.

This is the current setup:

Transactional logging: Enabled

Log path: D:\Translogs\APP01

Logging style: Archived

Automatic fixup of corrupt databases: Enabled

Runtime/Restart performance: Standard

Quota enforcement: Check space used in file when adding a note

Can anyone tell me how the domino server handles the TXN files. Is there a setting\program that needs to be run inorder to flush\reuse the TXN files?

Your help is appreciated,

Kind Regards,
