I wanted to get your input on the latest recommended AV exclusions for Notes and Domino. I have seen always been able to access good info online but I have a feeling AV is still having an impact on us.
Im interested on profile directories that might be used when running processes, such as C:\Documents and Settings.…
So…some Server Exclusions (running as a service with an account)…
Install directory? (is this really ok to scan?)
Data Directory
DAOS Directory
Transaction Log Directory
VIEW_REBUILD_DIR=“directory”
Temporary Directory - Do we also exclude temp directories?
McAfee discusses this here and I have seen it recommended for other AV applications. McAfee Customer Service -- Official Site
If this is the case for servers what exclusions can be set for clients? For a standard single user client config will excluding the directory below cover it?
C:\Program Files\IBM.…
I get the impression the client writes to the profile or temp direcories on the users machines and would like to ensure Notes Clients are performing as expected.
Heres a good post from Chris Whisonant regarding this too.
