When I retired from IBM, I created a standalone Notes environment and ordered the Notes client that included the Designer and Administrator features. I used the Designer client to modify local Notes databases and the Administrator client to create and re-certify my Notes id, based on guidance from a Notes administrator.
The Designer and Administrator clients were dropped from the Notes 8.5.1 client. The Designer client appears to be downloadable from DeveloperWorks. Is there a way to re-certify a Notes ID without the Admin client?
In hindsight, I probably should have used the ‘user.id’ created during the standalone Notes client install. I am concerned that I may lose access to databases that have ‘enforce ACL’ turned on if I switch to ‘user.id’ now.
