Hello people ,
In the organization i am working, the user ids were having ou/o format location wise … suppose mi user id was masif/IT/blabla … now the policies are changing and now mi ou/o in my user id is business cde wise … supose my user id is now masif/BMS/blabla … what administrator do is to recertify the user id with the changed certifier id of ou/o … there are some databases running over here , one is expense claim system … In the ACL of this database, there are siome users added with different roles … but some other users which are not in the ACL of the database can anonymously access the application … when a user has older user id with older ou/o format , he could access the application with no problems … once the user is recertified and then access the application, it gives an access “you are not authorized to access” … something like that … the user with the older user id was not listed in ACL of the database and he could easily access this application … and now user with his new user id cannot access the database …
so i wanna knw what exactly happens when u change the ou/o of a user , and this problem is really freaking me out … i guess if i put this user in the ACL of the database, it will work fine but if the user was able to access it previously without being listed in ACL than y not now? … Replies awaited and i hope i have described mi problem clearly …
Thank you …
