I am working with a project where we are taking over the help desk of another company. That company uses Microsoft Exchange forms and wants to continue to use them to send requests to the help desk. Since we are a Lotus Domino/Notes company we are having difficulty viewing the Exchange forms in Notes. Is it possible to configure the Domino Server or Notes Client to view Exchange forms?
Subject: Receiving Microsoft Exchange forms with Notes
Are the Exchange documents mailed into a Notes database? If so, try this:
-
Have a user completely fill out the Exchange form with dummy but recognizable data.
-
Before submitting it, have him print it out the form and give the printout to you.
-
Have him send the form to you.
-
In Notes, select the sent document (“form”) and choose File - Document Properties.
-
Click the Fields tab on the Properties box. Carefully examine the fields names and values and match them to the printout from step 2.
-
Have a Notes developer create a form containing the fields from step 5 in a layout similar to that of the printout.
-
Using this form, you’ll be able to see any Exchange documents mailed to you.
