Depends who broke the long URL. Notes will generally not break long URLs on inbound emails so it was probably broken by the sending party. Look at the MIME source - that should be a clue.
I’m having the same problem. A long URL in a message delivered to a Lotus Notes mailbox is being wrapped and only the first line is highlighted as an HTML link. The message was received via SMTP and it’s origin is an external (non-Notes) application.
Exactly the same message has been delivered to users using Outlook and mutt without problems. These user agents do not break the link.
The message part containing the link was received as an attachement of the following type, encoding and size: text/plain, 7bit, us-ascii, 0.4K
