READONLY for Listbox field

I have searched and tried but am unable to make a listbox field ‘readonly’. I can make it ‘disabled’ but I need to values to be saved.

Can someone please help.

Hi James,

AS I understand your problem falls more or less under Notes/Domino Application Development “How To”.

One of the more accepted design practices to accomplish what you are looking for is:

1.) Place a hide when on the listbox, hiding it from users based on your criteria (username. access role, user group etc.).

2.) Create for reading that references that field. If the user is only allowed read access to the listbox, show them the and hiode the Lsitbox as per 1. above.

Thank you for your response.

The problem with the solution is the listbox has aliases. The computed text shows the aliases, I’d need it to show the ‘text’.
