Reading Db's via wordpas/notepad?

Hi

I have noticed that it is possible to read data from notes databases using wordpad

How can I stop this, if I use “Locally Encrypt this database using…” I hope that files my local PC is protected, or ??

But what about data on the server ?? eg. mail files (which I also can read), does 'Locally encrypt this database using…" also apply here ???

If your server is not physically secure (nobody can get to it who you don’t trust), you are in trouble anyway. Security for the server is critical. If the server is physically secured, nobody will be able to get to it to open a db with Notepad or anything else.
